So, you are about to write an e-book. But how are you going to make it?
An e-book would be a big step up for you as a writer.

Because while blog posts are a great way to express your ideas, you can’t help feeling they’re a little, well, fleeting. Lightweight even.

Whereas an e-book is more substantial. It’s taken more seriously. It has more gravitas.
So before you start anything and if you want to save some of your time, avoid the following dumb mistakes and never fall at the first hurdle.

#1: CHOOSING A TOPIC YOU KNOW LITTLE ABOUT
Writing something you know little about is one the most common mistakes of most newbie writers ever did. It is not only an ebook writing mistakes but also in general writing. And also it’s impossible to accomplish writing something that you don’t even know. So before starting your writing think of your topic many times. Try to ask yourself the questions about it, questions that you will may encounter on it and seek for the answer. If you can’t find the answer, then it’s not the topic that you should have.

#2: WRITING THE E-BOOK YOUR AUDIENCE “NEEDS”
This is sometimes related to number one. Most writer write about something because they think their readers need it not because they are expert on it. But actually it’s a big mistake, you are not helping your audience nor giving what they really need. If you are expert on it and you think your audience need it then you go for it.

#3: THINKING LIKE A WRITER, NOT A PUBLISHER
If you are just thinking all about writing then you are making a mistake. Writing ebook is not only about writing it’s also about publishing. Projecting how your ebook would turns out, how your writing being organize and what order you’re going to write in, is one of the first thing you need to consider before starting anything.

#4: PICKING UP YOUR PEN (OR LAPTOP) AND STARTING TO WRITE
Once your survey results are in, you might be tempted to start writing straight away.

Jumping into the writing at this point will cause you serious problems within days. You’ll find yourself repeating things, or wasting time exploring ultimately unhelpful tangents. Plan your e-book first before you start writing. This means having a clear outline that has, at the very least, a title for each chapter. It might seem a bit boring, but it will make the writing stage far easier and fun.

#5: STARTING AT THE BEGINNING
This is the most common mistakes that most newbie writer always did. Our ideas are not coming out in sequence it’s just popping out at a random time. What I mean is that when you have the idea of what or how you are going to do to a specific part of your ebook writing then start with it.
